Karachi: Unidentified persons broke the wall of a goldsmith’s shop in Liaquat Market area of Saudabad and stole gold ornaments, silver and other goods worth Rs.
According to the details, Hamza, the nephew of the owner of the shop, said that gold and silver are refined in the said shop. On March 9, uncle Rehmatullah closed the shop and went home, and the market closes on Friday, March 10. When it was opened, the wall was broken, after which tunneling was known.
Hamza said that the accused broke the locks of the uncle’s shop and entered and broke the wall and stole everything and escaped.
SSP Korangi Sajid Saduzai said that there are no CC cameras in the entire street where the tunnel was dug, due to which the police is facing difficulty in tracking down the accused.
He said that the police have obtained the fingerprints of the accused from the shop, with the help of which it will be easy to reach the accused, the accused had entered the gold factory from the shop through remote control as per full Riki and planning.
According to the SSP, evidence of the involvement of more than 3 accused in the incident has been found, a case has been registered and investigation has been started from all aspects.
