Lahore: Senior actress of Pakistan showbiz Ifat Umar says that women in Pakistan are not paid equal to men in any field.
Recently, Aurat March was organized in Lahore, where common women and showbiz personalities also participated. The theme of this year’s Aurat March Lahore was ‘Feminism in a Time of Crisis’, in which women raised their voice against abuses against them at the front of work and business.
Actress Ifat Umar also participated in this march, whose picture holding a placard has become a topic of discussion on social media.
The placard read the slogan ‘Jab kam pura toh ujrat adhi why?’ On which social media users also made good comments.
A social media user commented on the picture and slammed Ifat Umar and wrote ‘because you don’t know how to act’.
On which the actress replied to the user and wrote that if she doesn’t like acting, why do they follow her by taking work? If you can’t pay the same as men, leave.
Ifat Umar responded to the criticism of the female user and added, “I don’t know how to act, but even Mahira doesn’t get paid as much as Fawad.” Women like you, who do not support other women demanding their basic human rights, are the biggest cause of despair.’
On this picture of Ifta Umar, which went viral on social media, users also made hateful comments against the actress because she is also active in political matters and is especially known for her statements against Imran Khan.
