Decision to Outsource Education Boards Disapproved, Supp

The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) has strongly reacted to the decision of the Department of Boards and Universities to outsource the education boards of Sindh.

SUPLA Central President Manoor Abbas, Secretary General Shahjahan Panhoor, Syed Amir Ali Shah, Professor Altaf Khoro, Najeeb Lodhi, Ismat Jahan, Syed Jardeel Shah, Lal Bakhsh Kalhoro, Humida Mirbahr, Aziz Memon, Khurram Rafi, Abdul Manan Brohi, Saeed Ahmed Abaro. And Rasool Qazi said in a statement that all the eight education boards of Sindh have been deprived of permanent moderators of examinations, board secretaries and audit officers for many years.

While 5 education boards have also been deprived of a permanent board chairman for many years, the term of the chairman of the remaining three boards will end after eight months. Whose responsibility is it to appoint these posts?

SUPLA leaders said that due to the incompetence of the department boards and universities, all the boards of the province have been handed over to recommenders and clerks and now incompetent and ad hocism and wrongdoings of the recommenders are coming to the fore. Instead of fixing it, another experiment is being prepared. How long will the future of the children of Sindh be exposed to ad hocism and recommendation culture by doing new experiments with them?

SUPLA leaders also said that we are not against innovation, therefore all measures taken to improve education including e-marking will be supported at the appropriate time.

College teachers of Sindh are highly talented, ready to tackle all challenges including e-marking.

So the government should put an end to the recommendation culture and focus on merit, instead of private departments, trust our teachers and utilize their talents.

SUPLA leaders further said that conducting examinations is directly related to teachers, so as in the past, professors should be appointed on the basis of merit in the posts of moderators of examinations and secretary boards, to improve the financial situation of the boards, to charge the boards reasonable fees. should also be allowed.

SUPLA leaders made it clear that tinkering with Sindh’s education is not acceptable, so the decision to outsource education boards should be reversed.
