The sensitive institutions while briefing the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said that the security threats are very high and severe, elections should not be held.
According to the sources, sensitive institutions in Islamabad gave a briefing to the Election Commission.
Sensitive institutions informed that the security risks are much higher than last year.
Joint Directors from IB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, ISI Sector Commander Punjab, KP and Islamabad, and DIG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab from CTD participated in the meeting regarding the elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It should be noted that President Dr. Arif Alvi has approved April 30 for Punjab elections.
The Election Commission had sent a letter to the President in this regard in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court.
The President of Pakistan announced the date after considering the dates suggested by the Election Commission.
