In many cities of Pakistan, especially Karachi, the complaints of online financial fraud are continuously increasing with the citizens.
Due to the presence of the accused involved in such incidents in remote areas, FIA Cybercrime is facing difficulties in operations and arresting the accused.
FIA Cyber Crime Wing South Director Operations Asim Khan Qaim Khani says that there is a 100 percent action rate in complaints based on family issues, but there are difficulties in taking action regarding online fraud.
Captain (retd) Asim Khan Qaim Khani while talking to Geo News said that the number of complaints in FIA Cybercrime Reporting Center Karachi was more than 1300 in February.
He said that 59 of these complaints were formally registered and others were redressed.
According to Director FIA Cyber Crime Wing Asim Khan Qaimkhani, cases have also been registered on 3 complaints while action is on on other complaints.
According to Asim Khan Qaimkhani, out of 206 complaints in the Hyderabad Reporting Center, 10 have been registered while a case has been registered on one and the process is ongoing on others.
He said that out of 134 complaints received at the Sukkur Reporting Centre, 10 were registered, cases were registered against 3, while one was disposed of and others were under process.
According to Asim Qaim Khani, during the operation, it has come to light that online financial fraud is mostly being done from Punjab or rural areas of the country.
According to Asim Qaim Khani, this is the reason why the cyber crime wing of FIA faces difficulties in operations.
