Imran Khan ordered to appear in session court on March 13


The Islamabad High Court suspended the arrest warrant of Chairman PTI Imran Khan in the Tosha Khana case and ordered him to appear before the Sessions Court on March 13.

Lawyer Qaiser Imam said that the trial court granted Imran Khan’s plea for immunity from attendance twice, non-bailable warrants were issued for his non-appearance in the courtroom.

During the hearing, Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq remarked that the warrant was not for arrest? Those warrants are for presenting the accused in the court, Imran Khan would have appeared before the court.

He said that you tell me how else the court should summon the accused. In law, this is the only way to ensure the presence of the accused, the law should be allowed to take its own course.

Lawyer Qaiser Imam said that our request is that the warrant of Imran Khan should be cancelled, on which the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court said that what will happen if the warrant is cancelled? The court is calling you to conduct the trial of the case, I will not pass any order which is out of the ordinary practice.

He said that Imran Khan will have to appear personally for the indictment, he has to appear here on the 9th, he should also appear there.

Imran Khan’s lawyer Qaiser Imam said that Imran Khan faces serious security threats.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq said that on merit, you will not find anything in this application, tell me the date on which date Imran Khan will appear, we are receiving letters of security threats daily, so why stop the work?
