The power of the State Guest House, the official residence of the President of Karachi, was cut off. 18 days have passed since the electricity was cut off for non-payment of a bill of Rs. 26 lakh.
The in-charge says that the management of the state guest house is with the foreign office, the bills are given by the works department, and the DG has informed the foreign office and DGP WD several times about the power cut.
He said that foreign delegations also come and stay in the State Guest House, Foreign Office, Presidency and PWD offices are also located in the Guest House.
The in-charge says that the employees are staying in 21 servant quarters of the State Guest House.
He also said that the affairs of the State Guest House have been badly affected due to the absence of electricity for 18 days.
