The government of Sindh has announced a reduction in expenditure at the official level on the orders of the Prime Minister, the Finance Department of Sindh has issued an order in this regard.
According to the decree, half of the security duty vehicles will be withdrawn from the cabinet members, vacant posts of all departments will be eliminated.
Security expenses for VIPs will be reduced, if a department needs additional expenses, the Chief Minister will contact Sindh, while giving new jobs has been banned.
The order states that recruitment of temporary employees will also be banned, purchase of new furniture, air-conditioners, refrigerators and vehicles will be banned.
Foreign visits of ministers and government officials will be banned, lunches and dinners at the official level have also been banned.
Guests and meetings will be served only tea, biscuits, utility bills will be reduced by 10% and petrol by 40%.
Government officials in Sindh will hold meetings online or on Zoom instead of visiting, the number of temporary employees will be reduced.
In the order, all departments of the Sindh government have been instructed to follow the policy of cost reduction.
It should be noted that with the approval of the Sindh Chief Minister, the policy guidelines have been sent to all government departments.
