Yemeni official at UN summit accuses Iran of sending ‘gifts of death’ to our country
During the meeting of underdeveloped countries in Qatar, Usman Majali criticized Iran and accused it of supporting the Houthi rebels.
Usman Majali, a member of Yemen’s presidential council, said that the unusual situation in Yemen is not the lack of resources, but the war started by the Houthi rebels.
The Yemeni delegation left the conference hall when Iranian Vice President Mansouri’s speech began.
Vice President Mansoori responded to the Yemeni official’s statement saying that it is unrealistic, baseless and irresponsible.
He said that Usman Majali tried to divert attention from the agenda of the meeting which is unfortunate.
He said that for the dear people of Yemen, I pray for peace and brotherhood, development and to get out of the crisis caused by external interference and aggression.
It should be remembered that the Houthis captured the capital of Yemen in 2014, after which the Islamic military coalition led by Saudi Arabia began operations.
