In the name of Ramadan package at the utility stores, the citizens got involved

Islamabad: In the name of Ramadan package at utility stores, the government has increased the price by Rs 200 to Rs 25.

First the prices of the subsidized items were increased, then it was decided to reduce the subsidy as well.

According to sources, first ghee became expensive by 190 rupees and then under the Ramadan package a subsidy of 25 rupees per kg was given on ghee, after increasing the price of sugar by 19 rupees, subsidy of 11 rupees per kg was given in Ramadan.

Earlier flour became expensive by Rs 24.80 and under the Ramadan package it was reduced to Rs 27.12 per kg.

There was no increase in rates for BISP beneficiaries. This year, the subsidy on ghee, sugar and flour has been drastically reduced under the Ramadan package.
