London: British scientists have proven through two different experiments that sleeping with a mask over your eyes at night has mental benefits and you wake up energized the next day.

Although the number of participants in this study is small, the statistical significance of this study is in place. This is because even the slightest light in the bedroom can affect the brain and by stopping it, not only will you be alert the next day, but it can also improve your memory.

British scientists have tested it in two important experiments, but it has confirmed the research of Italian and American scientists who have previously said that blocking all kinds of light during sleep or complete darkness in the room can have mental benefits. The results of which are immediately revealed on the next day.

In a report published in the journal Sleep, Cardiff University’s Viviana Greco and her colleagues said that ‘soft ambient light during sleep can affect the structure and timing of sleep.’ That is, by wearing a mask on the eyes, you are more alert mentally and physically the next day and it also improves memory.

In the first experiment, people between the ages of 18 and 35 wore the mask while sleeping for a week. After a week, they were told not to wear the mask or were given a mask with holes in the eye area.

During this time, all the participants were experimentally tested twice a week. People who wore the mask performed better on word matching tests, which are standard tests of memory and memory. People who slept with their eyes closed had a much better response rate.

In the second trial, 33 people were included, this time also aged between 18 and 35 years. They were given an eye mask on one day and no mask on the other day. This process continued for several days, but each volunteer wore a headband that recorded brain activity. It was found that brain waves proved that the eye mask induces deep sleep and activates brain waves that improve memory.
