Security in-charge of Peshawar University was killed by bullet, DSP Campus Fazal Al Rabi termed the incident as an accident.
Masood, a guard of a private security company on international hostel duty, fired a pistol while opening the gate, as a result of which the supervisor was injured, who was taken to the hospital for treatment, but could not recover.
On the other hand, the police have seized the pistol used in the incident while the security guard managed to escape. This is the second incident within the campus police station limits in recent days.
Two weeks ago, a lecturer of the English department was also killed by the firing of a security guard in Islamia College University, while today the security in-charge of the campus also lost his life in firing.
On social media, users are criticizing the administration for the day-to-day happenings in the biggest university of the province.
