Karachi: A young man who came to Karachi from Punjab in connection with the cloth business was brutally murdered. The body of the young man was found yesterday in the area of Shah Latif, who was tortured and killed after being abducted.
According to the police officials, the body of the young man found near the Murghikhana Bridge, Malir River, has been handed over to the heirs. The father of the slain youth Muhammad Umar registered a case of murder of his only son in Shah Latif Town police station.
The victim’s father says that the son was highly educated and had been trying to go abroad for several months, he was running an online clothing business, and used to go to and from Karachi and Lahore to buy clothes. On the night of March 2, the son reported reaching Karachi from Hyderabad on a phone call, after which he sent 1 lakh 10 thousand rupees online to the son for the purchase of clothes.
He said that on March 3, he received a phone call from the police that the tortured body of his son had been found. The victim’s father added that the money sent to his son is in the bank or has been looted. Nothing is known about it. My son had to go to the UK for work after a few days. It is not known why and who committed the murder.
The police suspected that Umar was killed by calling him to Karachi as part of a plan.
