Economic stability will not come without political stability, Imran Khan's speech


Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that when our government was being overthrown, the then Army Chief was explained about instability.

Imran Khan in a video link address from Lahore said that during this time I was told like a parrot to hold elections but the ruling alliance PDM and its handlers were not held.

He said that instead of accepting our demand to hold elections, strict measures were taken on PTI workers, until there is political stability, economic stability will not come.

The former prime minister further said that Azam Swati and Shehbaz Gul were exposed and tortured in custody, dirty videos and audio leaks were leaked in the way that never happened in the past.

He said that unemployment and inflation have increased, 8 lakh Pakistanis have left the country due to frustration, stability will not come until general elections are held.

Imran Khan also said that the price of eggs has increased from Rs 135 to Rs 246, milk from Rs 116 to Rs 156 per liter and chicken from Rs 280 to Rs 460 per kg.

He said that petrol from 150 rupees to 268 rupees per liter, while tube well electricity unit has become 36 rupees instead of 8.

Chairman PTI said that during our 3-and-a-half-year government, the dollar had become expensive by 55 rupees, the problems will be solved only when the people’s representative government comes to power.

He said that whoever the next government comes, it will have to stand with the people and institutions, they will have to take steps to fix the country which have not been taken till now.

Imran Khan said that the government expenditure has to be reduced, the loss-making corporations have to be restructured, every organization has to be helped to increase exports.

He said that I have known the current rulers for 30 years, they cannot manage the economy, the country cannot come out of the quagmire without making exporters VIPs.

PTI Chairman said that I ended my government in the National Assembly to hold elections, they went to the Supreme Court, we accepted the decision of the Supreme Court to restore the Assembly.

He said that he did not see such harshness in General Musharraf’s martial law, on May 25 we were oppressed and people were picked up, 3 long marches were held against us, how many FIRs were registered?

Imran Khan said, “My people have been told to go to the PML-G. I have been bitten, the strictures have been made so that we will be scared and we will be discouraged. So far, 74 FIRs have been registered against me.”

He said that an attempt was made to end Tehreek-e-Insaaf by spreading cruelty and fear, as my people stood up and endured everything.
