Karachi: People’s Party candidates were successful in the re-counting of Union Committee No. 6 results of District Sharqi Safura Town.
On the request of the People’s Party, a recount of the votes of UC 6 Pahlwan Goth took place in which the Chairman Vice Chairman of the People’s Party was successful with 2096 votes.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami Chairman Vice Chairman was declared successful on this UC.
The candidate of Jamaat-e-Islami was defeated by 253 votes, a total of 6090 votes were cast in this union committee, out of which 480 were rejected and 5610 were declared valid.
Jamaat-e-Islami Chairman Vice Chairman candidate got 1843 votes.
On the other hand, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has expressed his anger and said that if the numbers of the People’s Party are not fulfilled, then the Election Commission will withhold the results.
He said that this is terrorism, the results of the election are changing, we will not sit quietly at home, we will exercise our constitutional and democratic rights, Jamaat-e-Islami will not give up even a single vote.
