Security on high alert in Islamabad, protests outside courts banned

Islamabad: Security is on high alert in Islamabad and a ban has been imposed on protests in and around courts.

According to the spokesperson of Islamabad Capital Police, security high alert has been issued in view of terrorism and other threats.

Demonstrations have also been banned in the vicinity of the courts established in Islamabad, only lawyers, journalists and persons related to pending cases will be allowed to enter the premises of the courts.

Police say that section 144 is in force in the federal capital, citizens should report any unusual activity on 15.
