Rawalpindi: Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by 24 runs and won the fourth position on the points table.
In pursuit of the target in the 17th match of Pakistan Super League 8 played in Rawalpindi, Karachi Kings managed to score 173 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
On behalf of Karachi Kings, captain Imad Wasim scored 57 runs and returned to the pavilion not out. The wicketkeeper batsman was dismissed for 53 runs.
On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Azmatullah Umarzai and Aamir Jamal took 3 and 3 wickets while Mujeebur Rahman took 2 wickets.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi scored 197 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs while batting first at the invitation of Karachi Kings.
Rowman Powell scored 64 runs for Peshawar Zalmi. Haseebullah was dismissed after scoring 50 runs. Tom Koehler-Cadmore 56 while Amir Jamal remained not out with 13 runs.
Saeem Ayub 1 while captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris were out without opening their accounts.
Mohammad Amir took 4 wickets and Tabriz Shamsi took 1 wicket for Karachi Kings.
