Lahore: Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team captain Basmea Maruf has resigned from the captaincy but she will be available for the team as a player.

The performance graph of the national women’s team under Bisma’s leadership has been mixed, the overall performance of the team has been good against weaker teams while the performance against stronger teams has been substandard.

According to statistics, under the captaincy of Bisma Maruf, 27 out of 62 T20 matches were successful, while 32 matches were defeated. Similarly, 16 out of 34 ODI matches as the captain were the leaders.

On the other hand, Najam Sethi, head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, has accepted the resignation of Basma Maruf.

On the social networking site, Najam Sethi has written about Basmia that she is in favor of handing over the leadership to a new player, but Basmia will continue to play as a player.
