Mumbai: Bollywood industry senior actor Naseeruddin Shah says that if the Mughal emperors were so cruel, Indians should demolish the Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Qutub Minar built by them.
Peshawar-based Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah will soon be seen playing the role of King Jalaluddin Akbar in his new web series ‘Taj Divided by Blood’.
However, it is known in India that Mughal emperors were cruel rulers, that is the reason why the teasers of the web series are released, Indian users on social media started calling the Mughals cruel.
In an interview given to the Indian media recently, Naseeruddin Shah addressed the critics of the Mughal emperors and said that just as the Indian government has changed the names of the cities, villages and towns inhabited by the Mughals, if they hate the Mughal emperors as much. If so, Taj Mahal, Qutb Minar and Red Fort should also be demolished, then why do they give so much importance to them?
Naseeruddin Shah further said that since many years, the Mughal emperors in India have been described as looters while Bollywood films have shown them as cruel villains.

Naseeruddin Shah said that the Indian people think that the Mughals came to loot Bhat while the Mughals came here to establish their home and they did that which no one can deny.
It should be noted that in the Bollywood web series ‘Taj Divided by Blood’ along with Naseeruddin Shah, the legendary actor Dharminder also played the role of Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chishti. The series will be released on March 3 on Indian streaming site Zee Five.
