Cafe: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived on a visit to Ukraine, where he conveyed the message of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky and discussed bilateral relations, especially the Russian war.
According to Saudi media, a memorandum of understanding was signed by the foreign ministers of the two countries during the visit. Under this agreement, Saudi Arabia will provide up to $400 million in cash and goods to Ukraine.
Saudi Arabia’s $400 million deal with Ukraine includes a $100 million cash joint cooperation program and $300 million worth of oil product financing.
It should be remembered that this aid package was announced by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during a phone conversation with the President of Ukraine in October last year.
Russia is a member of OPEC Plus, but Saudi Arabia continues to support Ukraine while maintaining relations with Russia, which is proof of its neutrality.
At the end of last year, a resolution against Russia was passed in the United Nations for imposing war on Ukraine. Despite being a member of OPEC, Saudi Arabia voted in favor of this resolution.
