Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Facebook and Instagram users will now also have to pay a verified account fee.
Recently, a waitlist option for a subscription service called MetaVerified was made available to all users, with registered users being notified through a notification when the service is introduced in their country.
The service was announced by Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg himself who said that users of the web version will be charged $11.99 per month, while those using iOS devices will be charged $14.99 per month.
In his statement, Zuckerberg did not mention that there will be separate fees for each platform? That is, if a user wants to verify their Facebook and Instagram accounts, they will have to pay a monthly fee of $23.99 on the web and $29.99 on an iOS device.

Meta’s blog post stated that the feature to provide Blue Tick for a monthly fee will initially be introduced in Australia and New Zealand first and will be charged separately in both countries.
Meta also clarified in further details that pre-verified accounts will not be affected, they will remain as they are while new user accounts will be blue-ticked for a monthly fee.
While Metta has confirmed that providing BlueTick to accounts for a monthly fee will begin in Australia and New Zealand next week, it has not clarified when the feature will be rolled out in other countries. will
