After the new grading system, matric and inter key mark sheet converted into result card

Karachi: IBCC has prepared a new model mark sheet called “Result Card” according to the new grading system to be introduced in Pakistan.

According to Express News, IBCC, the official forum of heads of education boards across the country, has prepared a new model mark sheet called “Result Card” in connection with the new grading system introduced in Pakistan, which will be used across the country including Sindh. In matric and inter level, it will be issued to the students in a phase wise manner in the next 3 years.

Correspondent Express News says that the current mark sheet at matric and inter level will be phased out from the same year 2023 which will be initially started with the results of class 9 and 11. The new result card will be approved on Monday. It is expected that the IBCC meeting will be held in Karachi, in which the chairmen of education boards across the country are participating.

The new mark sheet issued by the name of Result Card has been prepared by the IBCC Subcommittee, as per the new grading system, the marks of the examination papers are not issued to the students at Matric and Inter level. will go, so the process of writing marks from the mark sheet will also be phased out.

According to the information received by correspondent Express News, in the first phase, marks and grades obtained on the mark sheet in the current year 2023, along with GP/GPA/CGPA will also be written, and the first phase will be applied to ninth and eleventh. It will be based on the results of the parties.

It should be noted that in the new grading policy, the passing marks at matric and inter level will now be 40 instead of 33, while the mark sheet/result card will not include the word fail.

Similarly, in the second phase of this journey from mark sheet to result card, in the next year 2024, the column of marks obtained in all four classes 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th will be deleted and only grade, GP / GPA / CG will be removed. PA will be written and on the final note of the result card it will be written candidate has passed with GPA ….. out of 5.0.

In the final phase in the year 2025 when the new grading system will be fully implemented, the grade, GP and final GPA will be written in front of each subject in the result card of the said year.

It may be recalled that the implementation of “10 points grading system” at matric and inter level across the country was approved in the meeting held by IBCC.
Under this grading system, the student’s examination remarks will now be replaced by “F” meaning “U” meaning unsatisfactory and the passing marks for the exams have been increased from 33 to 40.

Similarly, students who get marks from 95 to 100 percent will get grade A++ which is called exceptional and from 90 to 95 percent A+ which is called outstanding, similarly A grade from 85 to 90 is called remarkable and 80 From 85 to B++ which is called excellent.

According to the report, B+ from 75 to 80 is called very good and B from 70 to 75 is called good and C grade from 60 to 70 is called fair, while D grade from 50 to 60 is called satisfactory and E from 40 to 50. A grade called sufficient.
