The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Ministry of Home Affairs on the request to remove the name of former SSP Malir Rao Anwar from the ECL.
A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on the request to remove the name of former SSP Rao Anwar from the ECL.
A 3-member bench headed by Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan conducted the hearing.
The Supreme Court remarked that according to the lawyer, the case against Rao Anwar is over now, he is not wanted in any other case.
The court adjourned the hearing for an indefinite period while issuing notices to the parties.
Rao Anwar’s name was included in the ECL in the Naqeebullah Mehsud murder case.
After the acquittal of the trial court, Rao Anwar approached the Supreme Court.
