Attempted murder case, judgment reserved on Imran Khan's pleas


The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad reserved its decision on the petitions of Chairman PTI during the hearing of the case registered in the police station secretariat under the section of attempted murder against Imran Khan.

Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal heard the case during which Imran Khan’s request for exemption from attendance was filed today.

Imran Khan’s lawyer Babar Awan told the court that Imran Khan will appear in the courts of Islamabad tomorrow, 2 cases are in the judicial complex and 1 in the district court.

The lawyer of Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha opposed the extension of Imran Khan’s bail while requesting to get a medical examination of Imran Khan from PIMS.

Lawyer Babar Awan requested that there is space in the judicial complex, the case of Imran Khan’s Tosha Khana should be heard in the judicial complex.

The judge remarked that this is the first time he has heard that, Imran Khan will have to appear in court.

Lawyer Babar Awan said that the attack on former Prime Minister Imran Khan has also happened for the first time, it is necessary for him to come to court but it is more important to save life, issue the verdict so that I can appeal in the High Court.

The judge said to keep the dates on your request, Imran Khan’s attendance should have been today.

Lawyer Babar Awan said to take security guarantee from the Prime Minister, Chief Commissioner, Interior Minister and IG Islamabad in the district court.

The judge said that I do not have the jurisdiction to move the court.

Babar Awan requested that the police station secretariat and Toshakhana cases should be heard in the judicial complex, the decision to extend the bail today in the police station secretariat should also be postponed till tomorrow.

The judge asked whether Imran Khan has to come to my court tomorrow.

Lawyer Babar Awan replied that Imran Khan has to come to your court tomorrow, he wants to appear in the case of police station secretariat.

The judge directed to correct the application of Imran Khan and said that Imran Khan has written in the application that he is going to Lahore.

Lawyer Babar Awan corrected the transfer request of Imran Khan.

The plaintiff’s lawyer objected that if Imran Khan is coming tomorrow, he could have come today.

The court questioned the investigating officer regarding the investigation, and the investigating officer replied that the USB was sent to NADRA, nothing came out of it, Imran Khan is not in the video clips, he is not present at the spot.

Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal expressed his anger on the investigating officer and directed that I want an investigation to the extent of Section 109, bring it by 10 o’clock.

The judge said in his remarks that he will decide on the requests of Imran Khan at 10 o’clock as well.

The court reserved the decision on the petitions of Imran Khan.
