Karachi: This year, 25 thousand motorcycles were sent abroad from the country, which is a record for the export of motorcycles.
According to industry sources, 25,000 motorcycles were exported from Pakistan this year, which is the highest number of motorcycles exported in any year so far. Papam sources have confirmed that the industry has set a target of exporting 40,000 motorcycles next year.
Experts of the auto industry say that by strengthening the motorcycle manufacturing sector, priority is given to the engineering sector and if the availability of raw materials is ensured, then the full potential in the global market of motorcycles can be taken advantage of.
Former Chairman Papam Abdul Rahman Aziz said that at a time when the country is facing a serious crisis of foreign exchange, the success in the export sector has given hope to the auto sector of Pakistan. Exports can be diversified.
Exporters urged policymakers to include the motorcycle and related parts industry in the list of core commodities to avoid cancellation of export orders in the future. It can reduce but also facilitate the acquisition of foreign exchange by adopting new sources of exports.
