Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that contempt of court is threatened but now I am not afraid.
Murad Ali Shah addressed a seminar on the completion of 50 years of the Constitution of Pakistan under the People’s Party in the Sindh Assembly.
He said that they are threatened with contempt of court, but now they are not afraid of contempt.
The Chief Minister of Sindh further said that the defense of the constitution is the job of the assembly members, cabinet members and the judiciary.
He said that the implementation of the constitution is the duty of every citizen, under the constitution the parliament is supreme.
Syed Murad Ali Shah also said that under the law no case can be made against the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, Ministers while on duty.
He said that today, including me, almost all the ministers of the Sindh cabinet have cases, as an executive, I have been weakened.
Sindh Chief Minister said that we should make ourselves strong so that we can deliver, the need is to restore the 1973 constitution in its original state.
He said that giving a unified constitution to Pakistan is the achievement of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who brought everyone together to approve the constitution.
