New York: Netflix, the leading streaming service for movies and web series, has announced a reduction in its subscription fees in 30 countries.
The fee reduction will be applicable in various countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
Netflix has announced the fee reduction in view of global inflation and increasing competition from its rivals.
Among the countries where the fee has been reduced are Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Croatia, Venezuela, Kenya and Iran.
The company’s announcement did not include the United Kingdom and the United States, where Netflix has already reduced fees.
The fee reduction will be in certain price plans and in some cases will be reduced by half.
