Ankara: Due to the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the number of dead people has exceeded 50 thousand.
According to foreign media, the Turkish authorities have confirmed that 44 thousand people have died in Turkey so far due to the devastating earthquake. The death toll in Syria has exceeded 6,000.
About 9,000 aftershocks have been recorded after the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6. Officials say that a total of 1.9 million people have been forced to live in camps as a result of the earthquake. 173,000 buildings have been destroyed by the earthquake in Turkey.
