The Islamabad High Court issued a written order on Imran Khan’s request to stop the interim bail decision to the Banking Court.
A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court issued a six-page written decision.
According to the order of the High Court, apparently the petitioner presented a satisfactory explanation to the backing court for exemption from attendance, Judge Banking Court did not act illegally by exempting Imran Khan from attendance on medical grounds.
According to the order, there is no concrete evidence to falsify the medical reports, the public prosecutor has filed an application to constitute a medical board for the medical examination of the petitioner.
There is an impression that the government wants to give time to Imran Khan for treatment or to verify the medical reports submitted.
In the written order, it is said that the petitioner’s lawyer said that Imran Khan has to appear in the concerned court on March 3 after receiving protective bail from the Lahore High Court, Imran Khan has given a commitment to appear before the court on February 28.
The Islamabad High Court also said in its written order that it is expected that the Banking Court will not issue a decision on the formation of the medical board and the application for interim bail until February 28. Justice demands that Imran Khan’s application be disposed of.
