Former Sindh High Court Bar President Salahuddin Ahmed has said that in the last five years, a special judge heard 73 cases of sensitive nature, while another judge heard only 9 such cases, when there would be such an imbalance. So questions will arise.
Talking to Geo News program today with Shahzeb Khanzada, he said that the court should get to the root of the current constitutional crisis.
He further said that this constitutional crisis started because the Supreme Court decided that the votes of those who voted outside the party policy will not be counted.
According to Salahuddin Ahmad, two judges of the bench said that this is how you are rewriting the constitution, but three judges said that indeed we are rewriting it, but it has happened in the past as well.
Salahuddin Ahmad said that the constitution was rewritten after which crisis after crisis arose.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council, Hasan Raza Pasha, said that if a special bench is created for a particular case, fingers will be raised.
Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard the automatic notice case on the elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during which Justice Jamal Mandukhel expressed reservations and said that it does not become an automatic notice case.
