Karachi: The Sindh High Court, giving great relief to the dispute over the ownership of 21 thousand 800 square yards of land of Pir Elhi Bakhsh (PIB) Colony, Trans Lyari, amended the order dated 6 February 2022 and returned the order to hand over the place to the petitioner. took

In the High Court, a petition related to the dispute over the ownership of 21 thousand 800 square yards of land of Pir Elhi Bakhsh Colony, Trans Lyari was heard. The court gave great relief to the residents of the area. The court amended its order dated February 6, 2023. The court withdrew the order to hand over the place to the petitioner.

It should be noted that on February 6, the court ordered the Sindh High Court to hand over the possession of the land to the petitioner. The court had also ordered that if the Superintendent Sindh High Court had to take the help of the police, it should be done.

The residents of the area filed a request for urgent hearing. The petitioner’s counsel submitted that the court had ordered the petitioner to be given an alternative site of 21,800 square yards and also said that if possible, an amount of more than 13 crores should be paid along with interest.

The court had ordered to give the alternative place to the legal heirs of Syed Muhammad Ashrafuddin. More than 178 ready-made houses have been constructed on the said land in PIB Colony. The Sindh High Court had issued notices to all the residents to vacate the premises. In 1986, the court gave a decision in favor of Muhammad Ashrafuddin regarding the land. The court adjourned the hearing till February 28.
