According to the United Nations Human Rights Commission, a total of 7,199 civilians have lost their lives in Ukraine as of February 13, while the number of injured is around 11,800.
The commission’s report also noted that most of the civilian casualties recorded were caused by the use of explosive weapons, including heavy artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, missiles and airstrikes.
Ukraine has been able to fight the Russians for so long only because of the generous support of the US and its allies.
