Lahore: Section 144 has been imposed across Punjab in connection with Eid-ul-Adha.

The Punjab Home Department has imposed Section 144 on the sale of sacrificial animals at places other than notified cattle markets across the province, under which burning of incense in public places has also been banned.

According to the spokesperson, bathing and boating in rivers, streams and dams across the province will also be banned. Throwing animal excreta and dung into manholes, drains or canals is also prohibited.

Section 144 has been implemented across the province till Sunday, June 23. According to the spokesperson of the Punjab Interior Department, the ban has been implemented to maintain law and order, to protect the environment and human lives, during which the flow of traffic and the safety of the environment will be ensured. The administration across Punjab is trying to ensure implementation of the decree.
