Karachi: Fraud of crores of rupees from citizens of Hyderabad in the name of housing project has been revealed, anti-corruption started investigation.
According to the details, a mega residential project based on about 400 flats was started in Qasimabad, but despite collecting crores of rupees from the citizens, the project could not be completed yet.
The anti-corruption department has launched a high-level investigation and sought all the records of the residential project’s legal advisor Akram Memon, co-owner Deen Muhammad Memon and Fareed Memon.
The anti-corruption officials say that all the legal requirements of the project land and the project have not been fulfilled while the allottees have also issued legal notices to the builder.
According to the text of the legal notice, in case of non-completion of the project, the relevant forums will be referred for legal action.
