The Supreme Court has issued a written decision suspending the order of the Election Commission to de-notify PTI MNEs.
The Lahore High Court, while accepting the requests of the members of the assembly for hearing, asked the Speaker National Assembly and the Election Commission for their response by March 7.
According to the order of the Supreme Court, the names of MNAs from other provinces except Punjab will be removed from the case of 70 MNAs.
It has been said in the decision that the injunction of the Lahore High Court will not apply to the resigned MNAs of other provinces.
The Lahore High Court said in its order that the Election Commission’s notification of de-notification on January 17 will remain suspended, and by-elections in the respective constituencies of the National Assembly will also remain suspended.
