After the alleged encounter, the Kemari police killed the terrorist of the banned organization involved in the kidnapping for ransom incident, the other accomplices of the killed terrorist Sadiq alias Qari were also arrested.
SSP Kemari Faizan Ali said in a press conference that the operatives of the banned organization had abducted Haris, a poultry farm trader from Gadap area and released him after receiving a ransom of Rs 88 lakh.
Police officials said that Sadiq fled to Afghanistan after the incident and reached Karachi after some time.
The terrorist contacted the brother of the kidnapped Haris and tried to collect the ransom and also threatened to kill him. SSP Kemari further said that the Anti-Violent Crime Cell and the East Zone Police arrested the dead terrorist after the abduction of the businessman. Other accomplices have been arrested.
