austerity campaign;  Federal Ministers' decision to waive salary allowances, perks

Islamabad: In the government austerity drive, all federal ministers have decided to voluntarily give up salary allowances and perks.

The Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the austerity measures. The Prime Minister will brief the austerity drive in the press conference.

According to the Cabinet decision, Cabinet members and government officials will not use Burns Class for travel, while government officials will not stay in five-star hotels.

There will be single dish in dinner and lunch in government functions, federal ministers will pay utility bills from their own pockets.
