Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formed a task force consisting of health experts to reform the health sector in the province.

The 10-member task force will be chaired by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the task force will act as an advisory body on all health related reforms in the province.

Likewise, the terms of reference of the task force also include looking after health centers and upgrading equipment and facilities through the management of funds.

Apart from this, the task force will examine in depth other issues such as assessment of required equipment and modernization of all health systems through modern technology.

According to the announcement in this regard, Dr. Nizamuddin MD Diplomate American Board/Medicine Consultant, Hospital Medicine, Dr. Jamal Fazal Rabi MD Diplomate American Board Cardio-Theoretic Vascular, Dr. Muhammad Waqar Khattak MD American Diplomate Board Nephrologist, Dr. Ashfaq Allah MD will join Diplomate American Board Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine.

Apart from them Prof. Dr. Aftab Alam Khan Psychiatrist MRCP Psych, FRCP Psych, Dr. Fateh Khan Hasan Zai Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Muaz Bin Badshah MD Diplomat American Board Interventional Gastroenterologist, Dr. Sharif Ulzaman Khan MD Diplomat American Board Medicine Consultant/Hospital Medicine and Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan Dermatologist FRCPH, MBBS, FRCP Glasgow will also be part of the committee.
