Provincial Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation Makhdoom Mehboob Zaman told the meeting in a briefing that more than normal rains are expected in Sindh from July to September, 5 to 9 lakh cusecs of water can enter the Indus River due to rain and glacier melting, in the rains of 2022. 1026% more than normal rains were recorded in Padaidan, 584% more than normal rains in Larkana during the 2022 rains, 3 lakh tents, 19 lakh mosquito nets, 572 heavy diverting pumps are kept in Karachi, Jamshoro and Sukkur warehouse. .

The Chief Secretary directed to make an inventory of all the resources, life jackets, boats, rescue personnel and all the machinery available in each district. In the meeting, Chief Secretary Sindh directed all deputy commissioners to prepare emergency plans for normal, medium and high level floods. In the meeting, Secretary Irrigation also informed the meeting about the situation arising from LBOD and water coming from Balochistan.
