Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Jail Bharu movement has started in Lahore.
In Lahore, PTI’s Jail Bharu Tehreek convoy left from Jail Road and will reach Charing Cross from the head office.
Due to the convoy of PTI Jail Bharu Tehreek, the traffic pressure increased on Jail Road.
On the other hand, the vehicle carrying the prisoners has already been delivered to Charing Cross Mall Road.
PTI has announced arrests from Charing Cross Mall Road.
The arrest of 200 workers, including PTI leaders, has been announced.
PTI leaders and workers arrived in large numbers
Earlier, a large number of PTI leaders and workers arrived at Charing Cross Mall Road from the main party office.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Azam Swati, Mian Mahmood Al Rasheed, Dr. Murad Ras, Waleed Iqbal were among those who arrived here.
Section 144 enforced
Punjab Home Department has imposed Section 144 for a week around Mall Road, Main Boulevard Gulbarg and Civil Secretariat.
In the first phase, PTI has announced the arrest of 5 leaders and 200 workers including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Umar Sarfraz Cheema.
According to the sources, the caretaker government of Punjab has made a strategy, according to which there is no more capacity in the jails of Lahore, the arrested persons will have to be sent to Mianwali and DG Khan jails.
Imran tried to stop me from arresting: Shah Mehmood
In this regard, PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi says that Imran Khan has tried to stop me from arresting him.
According to Shah Mehmood, Imran Khan has told me that your position is the most senior in the party, you should not arrest him.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said in a media talk that the Jail Bharu movement is a peace movement, they do not want chaos in the country, it is not appropriate to arrest anyone on an illegal and fabricated case.
