Karachi: In the defense area, the motorcycle-riding accused killed a businessman for resisting the robbery.
According to the details, armed motorcyclists chased the owner of the factory, Asif Balwani, on Defense Phase 2 Street No. 12 and shot him dead near his house.
SSP South Sajid Saduzai said that Asif Balwani was the owner of an embroidery factory and some time ago he had bought a house in Defense. The accused gave chase and as soon as they reached the house, they shot and killed them.
He said that the accused could not succeed in the robbery, because the victim’s mobile phone and Rs 10 lakh withdrawn from the bank were present in the car.
SSP South said that all the evidence has been collected from the spot and the CCTV footage of the area is also being examined.
In this regard, DIG South Asad Raza said that Asif Balwani is the owner of the factory who left the bank located in Shan Circle Clifton with Rs 10 lakh, it is suspected that the street criminals chased Asif Balwani from the bank and He signaled the car to stop near the house, when he did not stop the car, the businessman was shot and killed.
He said that there was a mobile phone of the deceased and money of 10 lakh rupees withdrawn from the bank in the vehicle. The businessman has not found any evidence of extortion call or murder in this regard, but the police is investigating the matter from all aspects. .
