Islamabad: The National Commission for Women’s Dignity has released a report on incidents of violence against married women by husbands across the country.
According to the report, Balochistan province remained unsafe for married women last year where 199 incidents including physical abuse by husbands were reported.
179 cases of mental and physical abuse of married women have come to light in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which ranks second in the country.
Similarly, 103 women were physically abused by their husbands in Punjab while 60 cases of violence against women were reported in Sindh.
