Karachi: The new air cargo route between China and Pakistan has started, the first plane loaded with clothes and electrical appliances landed at Karachi Airport on Tuesday.
According to the Express report, a new cargo route between China and Pakistan has been launched, under which a flight has been operated between China’s southwestern province of Guizhou and Karachi.
A cargo plane arrived in Karachi from Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou. After a 6-hour flight, several tons of goods, including clothes and electronic devices, were delivered by the plane.
A shipment of aquatic life (fish, crab) was dispatched in the said aircraft on the return flight. According to sources, the new route is the first air route connecting Pakistan with a country included in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The new air route between Karachi and Guizhou will help Guiyang become a freight distribution hub in China’s southwest, the route will also reduce the time it takes for quality fresh products from Pakistan to reach Guizhou.
