After the IMF demand, there is big news for the students.
According to the sources, in the budget 2024-25, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has demanded to impose tax on books as well.
The IMF says that tax exemptions on books and copies should be removed in the budget and sticky note papers, photo paper and fancy cardboard should also be taxed.
Apart from this, the IMF has also proposed to remove tax exemptions on exercise books, pencils and pens.
Sources say that in this regard, the FBR officials will give a briefing to the Prime Minister tomorrow on the budget for the next financial year.
It should be remembered that in the declaration issued by the International Monetary Fund regarding the negotiations with Pakistan, it was said that there should be a fair collection of taxes from the privileged class in Pakistan.
