Karachi: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the biggest cattle town settled near the Northern Bypass in Karachi.
The market, spread over about 1,000 acres near the Northern Bypass, consists of 20 blocks, of which 16 are general and the rest are VVIP and VIP blocks.
In the general blocks, land and water are free, but a fee of Rs 4,250 is charged per cow and bull brought to the market, while Rs 2,000 is being charged for a goat.

So far, about 70 thousand cows, bulls, goats and camels have been brought to the cattle market, including cattle from different regions of Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Balochistan.

A festival has also been organized in the Goat Market built next to the Camel Block. Beautiful goats and livestock markets have been set up from different cities of Sindh including Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas. .
The price of an average weight bull in the market is also said to be more than 3 lakhs, cows worth up to 35 lakh rupees are also available in the market.
Traders from all over the country say that rearing cattle is not easy, two years of maintenance, fodder and transportation costs thousands of rupees, but buyers are not ready to understand this.
On the other hand, as the night falls, the cattle market starts to light up, the VVIP stalls and the splendor of the animals there is something else.
The cattle market has been protected from any kind of looting with the help of CCTV cameras, security check posts have also been set up on the sides.
