Islamabad: The Prime Minister called an important meeting regarding long load shedding and electricity supply and demand in the country.

According to Express News, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has called an important meeting regarding the load shedding period, electricity supply and demand in the country, in which a detailed briefing will be given to the Prime Minister by the Ministry of Water and Power.

It should be noted that due to announced or unannounced load-shedding across the country, citizens are in a state of distress and power outages during the hot weather have strained the patience of the people. People are protesting against loadshedding in many small and big cities of the country including Shahr Quaid.

On the other hand, the business community says that due to the announced and unannounced power outages, their business has also come to a standstill, while it has become difficult for children to study in the hot weather, similarly housewives are also often I am suffering from mental agony due to power outage.

In most areas of the country, the duration of load-shedding has reached 18 hours, while even during the night hours, due to load-shedding, it has become difficult for the citizens to rest.

Yesterday, citizens in different areas of Karachi came out on the streets against the non-supply of electricity and blocked the roads by burning tires, causing traffic jams and causing hardship to the citizens.

Oppressed by loadshedding, the citizens blocked both tracks of the road during the protest and raised slogans against K Electric.

Also in Peshawar, due to announced and unannounced load shedding of electricity, citizens protested and blocked the motorway from Peshawar M-Nine to Charsadda. Protesters say that the long load shedding of 12 to 16 hours has disrupted the life system.
