Quetta: During the session of the Balochistan Assembly, the House was plunged into darkness due to power cut.
According to the details, the meeting of Balochistan Assembly started 45 minutes late under the chairmanship of Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai.
Due to power outage, the members raised noise and the opposition raised slogans. The Speaker directed the resolution of the matter, after which power was restored after a long time. Meanwhile, electricity was provided through a generator to continue the proceedings of the House.
Member of Assembly Kulsoom Niaz while speaking in the House said that there is a lot of electricity load shedding in the province and people are in a bad situation, farmers do not have electricity even to run tube wells.
He demanded that the Balochistan government should provide electricity for at least six hours a day to the people involved in the profession of zamindari so that they can carry out their other works including tube wells.
