Karachi: Traffic was suspended due to protests over non-supply of electricity at Shah Latif Town and Orangi Banaras Bridge.

In Zafar Town area of ​​Shah Latif Town, the residents of the area suspended the traffic protesting against the non-supply of electricity, which led to the worst traffic jam.

SHO Shah Latif Malik Saleem said that they tried to disperse the protestors through talks, but in failure, the police dispersed them by charging them with batons, while on this occasion, the people involved in the protestors also fired in the air.

On this, the police took immediate action and arrested 4 persons and recovered the weapons while also deputing a police force.

Meanwhile, on the track of Banaras Bridge going to Orangi Town from Abdullah College, the residents of the area suspended the traffic protesting against the non-supply of electricity and water, due to which long queues of vehicles were formed. Loud slogans were raised against the electricity and demand was made for immediate supply of electricity, however, the police reached the spot and dispersed the protestors after discussion and restored the traffic.
