Islam / Fort Abdullah: The health department has confirmed that the third polio case of this year has been reported from Qila Abdullah, while the presence of the virus has also been confirmed in the sewage water of Hyderabad Chaman and Pashteen.

The sewage of Hadi Pakt Environmental Site of Chaman area has come polio positive, polio virus has been found in ten sewage samples of Chaman this year. Polio virus has been confirmed in four samples taken so far this year.

Sources say that the number of polio-positive sewage samples in 2024 has reached 140, while the sewage of 38 districts has been contaminated with polio virus this year. On the contrary, last year, 126 sewage samples from 28 districts were found to be polio positive.
