Karachi: Due to the gas leakage in the house, 8 people including children and women were burnt and injured due to a strong explosion.
A gas leak caused a loud explosion in a house near Soldier Bazar No. 1, resulting in injuries to 8 members of the same family, including children and women. The injured include 45-year-old Muhammad Musa, his wife Rabia Musa, 40, Naveed Musa, 10, Rafiq Musa, 8, Gulshan Musa, 20, Roshni Musa, 15, Umbreen Musa, 11, and Nasreen, 12.
The injured were immediately shifted to Burns Ward of Civil Hospital, where according to the doctors, the condition of the injured is out of danger. All individuals have 15 to 20 percent burns. The police say that initially the incident seems to be an accident, but the investigation is being done keeping in view every angle.
Residents of the area say that there is a lack of gas supply in the area, most of the residents use gas cylinders, due to which such accidents occur. The government should restore gas supply in the area.
